About

I am a fifth-year doctoral candidate in organizational behavior and human resources at Florida State University's College of Business. My research interests revolve around socially sustainable work and business practices, with an emphasis on stigma, power relations, and resources. I am particularly interested in the experiences of transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming workers. My dissertation is at the intersection of these research interests, and explores prospective employee responses to employers' transgender-supportive policies and practice. My work has been published in Career Development International, Human Resource Management Review, and the SAGE Encyclopedia of LGBTQ+ Studies.

Since coming to Florida State, I have taught three undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior and pursued further professional development through the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society. Prior to starting my Ph.D., I worked in student affairs at the University of Missouri-Columbia and served as instructor of record for a section of the Chancellor's Leadership Class during the 2019-2020 academic year. I also contribute to the field through service work, fostering community among doctoral students, and mentoring aspiring graduate students in business. I am a Junior Fellow in the Center for Applied Transgender Studies and I earned my MBA and Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
