I completed my Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at Florida State University's College of Business in December 2025. To date, my research has primarily focused on impression formation and decision-making processes in the labor market, as well as resources that facilitate employee well-being and performance. To do so, I consider the role of individual differences, organizational policies and practices, and the institutional context in shaping perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. My dissertation lies at the intersection of these research interests, where I explore prospective employee responses to employers' transgender-supportive policies and practices. My work has been published in several academic journals, including Human Resource Management Review, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Career Development International.
During my time at Florida State, I taught three undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior and pursued further professional development through the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society. Prior to starting my Ph.D., I worked in student affairs at the University of Missouri-Columbia and served as instructor of record for a section of the Chancellor's Leadership Class during the 2019-2020 academic year. I also contribute to the field through service work, fostering community among doctoral students, and mentoring aspiring graduate students in business. I am a Junior Fellow in the Center for Applied Transgender Studies, and I earned my MBA and BHS from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
